Damian is a registered Psychologist who completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University and is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).

Damian has had experience working with a range of difficulties across the life span and operates from various evidence-based therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). Damian also draws from other models such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Damian is passionate about working collaboratively with his clients to provide client centred care and promote wellbeing.

Damian has a particular interest in working with gender or sexuality diverse clients on a range of presentations. He is also passionate about supporting clients who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis or related treatments, and providing therapy related to end of life.

Damian sees clients across the life-span with a range of concerns related to:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood difficulties such as depression
  • Stress and coping
  • Cancer psychology
  • Therapy related to end of life
  • Loss, grief, anticipatory grief
  • Obsessive compulsive and related disorders
  • Pre-school/early school sleep difficulties

Damian has had experience working in various contexts such as within hospital settings, school settings, private practice, and university clinics. Damian has also had experience working with the LGBTIQAP+ community.

Damian is currently completing core training in ISTDP, a brief therapeutic approach that is effective for a large range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and interpersonal difficulties.
