Rachel is a registered Psychologist who completed both her undergraduate Psychology degree and Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Griffith University, Gold Coast. Rachel has experience working within a school environment with children experiencing learning, behavioural and emotional difficulties. She has also provided social skills training and anger management groups to children. Rachel also has experience working as a Psychologist at a Private Hospital with both inpatient and outpatient groups, as part of the Eating Disorders Program Allied Health team. She is passionate about working with people at all stages of life to improve their psychological and emotional functioning. Rachel has received training in several therapeutic treatment modalities, however in practice she primarily draws upon the evidence-based models of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

Rachel works with clients across the lifespan from early childhood to older adulthood with a range of concerns. These include:

  • Attachment problems in childhood and adulthood
  • Neurodevelopmental disorders, such as ADHD and ASD
  • Behaviour management issues
  • Anxiety disorders, including specific phobias and generalised anxiety
  • Mood disorders, such as depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Problems with stress and coping
  • Social skills deficits
  • Relationship difficulties.

Rachel’s areas of special interest include adolescent mental health, ADHD, anxiety disorders and eating disorders.
